Help Us Bury Our Daddy

Our names are Pamela Adams and Mitchell Adams. We are setting up this account to help pay funeral expenses for our Daddy.
On January 1, 2016, our Daddy, Dewayne Adams, had been to Hickory, NC, to visit our grandmother, Marcella, and our uncle, Bobby. Daddy was driving home with one of his granddaughters, Leighann, when he suffered a heart attack at the wheel. Miraculously, Daddy was able to apply the brake and cross two lanes of traffic without causing injury to Leighann or anyone else. A nurse visiting the area, and her son, an EMT from Haywood County , recognized that something was wrong and stopped to help. EMTs took Daddy to Haywood Regional Medical Center, in Waynesville, NC, where doctors were able to resuscitate him, but by that time he had been without a pulse or oxygen for at least 30 to 45 minutes. Daddy was transferred to Mission Memorial Hospital in Asheville, NC, where he stayed on life support for five agonizing days. Because of the lack of oxygen, Daddy suffered irreparable brain damage. We made the heart breaking decision to remove him from life support on January 6, 2016. Daddy stayed with us for another three grueling hours before he went to be with Our Lord and Saviour.
Now we are faced with another heartache. Daddy did not have life insurance. We met with the funeral director on Thursday, January 7, 2016, at Ivie Funeral Home in Murphy, NC, to plan his funeral arrangements. The total cost of a basic traditional funeral is approximately $8,600.
We are asking our family, our friends, anyone who can help . It doesn't have to be much. Any amount , no matter how big or how small, will be appreciated. Even if you are unable to give, please pray for our family and share this with your friends and family.
Please help us give our Daddy a proper burial.
