Children who learn to love reading become better readers and life-long learners. We, at Necedah Elementary, are looking to engage our students in reading more than ever before.
The elementary school is advancing our instruction to become more individualized to meet the needs of all our kids at their level. Our focus on a growth mindset has lead us to strive to provide a better resource of materials to facilitate our guided reading practices. We are looking to grow a library of small group sets of reading materials that are both highly engaging and of the appropriate level of all students. We will be focused on purchasing 6 book sets of books at all Fountas and Pinnell levels with a focus on award winning literature and nonfiction texts that are student centered in high interest areas for children. Please aid us in raising funds to provide these materials for our deserving students. We are a small district with limited funds, but desire to provide a guided reading library that rivals that of the most accomplished schools.
