Help Betlejewski Family #DaveStrong
On Monday, David's condition worsened and he was life-flighted to Cleveland Clinic's main campus, where he would undergo a second brain surgery. His life was saved, but the fight for his life goes on. We are fighting for his life with him. We are scared and hopeful at once. Even after receiving care from some of the best neurosurgeons at the Clinic, David's health is very fragile and his recovery may be a long road. (UPDATE: Post-surgery MRI showed that David experienced multiple strokes to his cerebellum and occipital lobe of his brain.)
There's never a good time for a health emergency, but this couldn't have happened at a worse time. Right now David is between jobs, trying to go full-time with his own business and is currently not insured by a private insurance plan. And without David being able to work in the foreseeable future, his wife and children will need help from all of us.
David is 37 years old. David is a husband and a young father with two beautiful little boys: Henry, almost 3 and Everett, who turns 1 in October. David has an amazing, big family that would give their own lives for him. David has a personality as big as his heart and is a friend to everyone. David's wife — my sister, Erika — is his best friend among them all.
Please give what you can. The money you donate will be used to support Erika, Henry and Everett during this difficult time, as well as other expenses that may arise throughout David's recovery. Also, please keep praying with all you can. Thank you.
The generosity you've shown is overwhelming — in fact, so many people gave to our effort in these last few months that it became impossible to thank each of you with an individual note. Please pardon us and know that every single thoughtful memo, prayer, and donation has been and will continue to be cherished by our family.
We'd like to take the time today, on Christmas Day, to say THANK YOU from the bottom of our hearts and wish you a Happy Holidays. May the love you've shown our family be felt by everyone in yours this season.
Here's to hoping 2017 brings a miracle in all of our lives.
Tidings of Peace,
The Betlejewski & Bostwick Families
"Help Betlejewski Family #DaveStrong" Campaign
This new phase of our campaign, #DaveStrong, begins today. To those who have already given, we can't thank you enough. Your love is healing without measure. Please continue to give your prayers, positive thoughts and well wishes. All we ask of you (if you haven't already) is to please share this campaign on Facebook and other social networks so everyone possible can be reached.
Again, thank you from the bottom of our hearts. Stay strong, stay positive. #DaveStrong
We are amazed how quickly this happened. Though truth be told, we can't even begin to wrap our minds around what David's medical expenses will end up being. He is still in critical condition in neuro-ICU making small but positive steps in the right direction. He is fighting on. And that is the only thing that matters right now.
From all of us in David and Erika's families, thank you for your love, support and prayers. It's life-giving. Please help us continue to grow the campaign to #SaveDave by sharing this with everyone you know.
