Dylan "Detox" Mazhindu Foundation

Dylan “Detox” Mazhindu believed in the transformational power of music.  His personal journey was testament to the unique power that music has to unite, educate and inspire.  Music provided not only a platform from which to showcase his creativity but also instilled a deeper sense of purpose and discipline in him as he honed his craft as an MC.  These qualities; Creativity, Purpose and Discipline are the three pillars on which the Dylan “Detox” Mazhindu Foundation has been created.  The foundation will support disadvantaged teenagers from the Bedfordshire area in their development as musicians.  Whether providing recording equipment and instruments or mentoring and practical advice, our aim is to give back to the community that raised Dylan and leave a lasting legacy in memory of this remarkable young man.

As a group of his closest friends and family, we have targeted raising £50,000 as start-up capital for the foundation.  Our aim is to build the funds over the course of the coming year culminating in the unveiling of a music studio commemorating the one year anniversary of Dylan's untimely passing in October 2017.
