The Atwater FFA Milk Quality and Dairy Foods, FFA Marketing Plan, and FFA Extemporaneous Speaking teams will be representing Atwater/Winton communities, Merced County, and the entire state of California at the 2016 National FFA Judging Finals in Indianapolis, Indiana October 15th- 22nd, 2016.
Atwater High School's agriculture program is the largest single high school agriculture program in the nation with about 900 individual agriculture students. Atwater High School is culturally diverse and socioeconomically
challenged, and combined with tremendous school, community, and agriculture indistry support, has created an opportunity for students to gain academic success, personal growth, and career success through agriculture education and the FFA.
We have budgeted $25,000 to cover the costs of the trip which will also include a Washington DC trip to experience the emotional and educational aspects of various experiences within Washington DC. Our fundraising efforts have brought us very close to our needed budget and are just a few thousand dollars short.
We are sharing our situation and the opportunity for our students through this campaign with the hope you will find this a worthy investment for young adults in recognizing their effort and accomplishment towards their individual personal growth.
