The Owen family was devastated on August 14, 2016 when Curt was taken to the emergency room for vomiting & abdominal pain where a mass was found on his liver. It was confirmed on August 22, 2016 that Curt does have stage four stomach cancer (primary) along with cancer of the liver, pancreas, lymph nodes and adrenal gland.

While no amount of money will take his pain away, it will help with their financial burdens. They have a long & hard road ahead. Curtis Owen has only been at this job for 6 months and does not qualify for FLMA, but they are allowing him to keep his health insurance that will be $1800 a month!
