Fight for Christina's Brain Cancer

Hi all,  my name is Alyssa. Welcome to my mom’s go fund me page! These last couple of months have been tough, to say the least, for my family and me. My mom, Christina, was diagnosed with an aggressive brain cancer called glioblastoma. It all started on July 7th, 2016 (her 43rd birthday) when she woke up with numbness in her right arm. My dad called 911 and she was taken to the hospital where they ran a cat scan that showed bleeding in her brain. She's spent about 3 weeks in and out of the hospital with multiple MRI's, blood tests, spinal taps, ect. After 2 brain biopsy's we got the final diagnosis of glioblastoma. It has been heartbreaking and emotional and we all ask that question “Why?” But through this unfortunate time we made a promise to fight with my mom and to stay positive and hopeful. I believe in her and her strength and the love in our family. We will get through this together and continue to hope and pray for a true miracle! She begins radiation and chemotherapy treamtment on October 10th for 6 weeks and we are hoping to freeze the tumors.

I made this gofundme in order to raise money for my mommy’s battle in hope to make it a little less difficult for my parents. The donations will go towards medical bills, copays, and loss of time at work. My dad has been back and forth at work, taking my mom to her appointments and being there by her side while also providing for our family.  Any donation will go a long way and we are truly grateful to have you all in our lives. A little about my amazing mom…She is 43 years old and has been happily married to her best friend and highschool sweetheart (my dad Lawrence) for 24 years. She is a mother of 3, I am the oldest (23), my brother Elijah (19) and my little sister Italia (11). She is also the most beautiful, wonderful grandma to my 2 year old son, Kayden.

My mom is the sweetest, most selfless person that I know. You can always count on my mom to put a smile on your face and to be there at any minute of the day for anything. She has been my inspiration and my best friend my whole life. My siblings and I are so lucky to have her as our mom. She is the mom that cheers for us at all of our games, volunteers in our classes, walks us to school every day, makes us lunches with little notes in them, and kisses us goodnight every night. Our parents are our biggest supporters and the core of our love. They push us to follow our dreams, never give up on ourselves, and to always love each other. Growing up with such loving and positive parents made my family so close. My family is happy, loving, adventurous, and we will fight through this battle together !
