Gene Kish, is a hard working, experienced and tenured, professional auto mechanic and a kind hearted and loving family man. He was leaving work to return home when he was robbed, car jacked and shot by an unknown assailant. The bullet penetrated his femoral artery and a nearby citizen rushed to create a tourniquet out of a traffic vest barely saving Gene's life.
Gene has been in the hospital since this incident and surgeons are trying desperately to save him, administering care and giving him multiple surgeries to save the artery and promote good blood flow again. Gene's precious wife, Beth, is a school teacher with a giant heart for others. Her leave time is quickly diminishing and the two will need financial support to compensate for their loss of time on the job AND the quickly rising medical costs they are incurring due to being victimized by this selfish criminal.
Gene and Beth share three amazing children. Any and all donations are greatly appreciated. I can't think of two more deserving people of the community's love and financial support. They would be the first to help someone else in a similar situation and the last to ask when they are in need.
Please help this wonderful family.

Gene is still in the hospital. He's making progress but has been struggling with significant bouts of pain. He needs an additional surgery, but it has been postponed to get his pain and other issues under control. Please keep the Kish family in your prayers and donate if you can. It is undetermined what the road to recovery will look like for Gene and Beth. They will need a lot of continued love, prayers and support. Thank you all so very much for everything you have done this far. The Kish's are humbled and honored by the outpouring of love and support.

I spoke with Beth this morning. Gene is still fighting for wellness. The third surgery promoted better blood flow but now there are concerns about function and sensation in his lower leg. Please continue to pray for Gene and donate if you can. It is unknown what his road to recovery will look like. Anything you could offer to help will be some insulation for their family as they navigate through these challenges one day at a time.
Thank you all so much!

I have known Gene a long time. Although we are not in touch anymore my heart goes out to him and his family. He is such a great person and bad things always happen to good people. I wish him a quick recovery. I hope they catch the POS that did this to him.
