Elephant Rock Nature Park has provided top quality camping, lodging, and river floats for twenty years this coming season.
We have hosted numerous educational field trips for students and often have introduced young minds to their first realization and connection to our natural environment. Through this awakening of young minds we have fostered a lifelong appreciation and respect for nature.
Elephant Rock has hosted and provided a beautiful natural environment for music festivals where folks have enjoyed and appreciated the freedom of music and the outdoors.
We have helped homeless veterans with food, shelter and temporary employment to get a foothold on civilian life. We have donated pine trees for the rebuilding of the Historic Fort Gibson, and donated many times for fundraising efforts by Boy Scout Troops, Non-Profit Organizations and School Sports Teams.
Now I am asking for your help.
I am in jeopardy of foreclosure and losing the property that thousands have enjoyed and has been in my family since 1959. I was unable to properly staff the Park this season and without any help to cover all facets of the business I fell short of meeting my lender obligations. I am humbly asking for financial support to meet this years obligation of $26,250.00. If through your generosity I am able to meet this years debt obligation I will be in a good standing position with the bank to refinance and stabilize and improve the Parks services. Please don’t let one weak year’s performance bring an end to sharing such a beautiful property with so many. Time is very critical! I have one week to remedy the issue or the bank will start legal action.
It is with some embarrassment and much humbleness that I make this request. I am an Eagle Scout and Submarine Veteran and pride is very important to me, but this property and the good I am able to share with my guests are more important.
My deepest Thanks to all who support my efforts to keep the Park open and I can promise that your support will be appreciated by myself and many folks in the future.
