This about the power of one person to make a difference.Thirty five years ago I met Bob Anderson from Hugo Minnesota when I wanted to become a falconer. Bob quickly became my mentor and friend.Bob had just quit his job at 3M to make a difference in the world. incrediable committment on his part. The challange chosen was to ignore all the experts saying that we were challenging the impossible. The return of the peregrine falcon to the united states. Pushed onto the endangered species list by the use of DDT the peregrine was for all intents and purposes gone.Bob had perferted the art of raising peregrines in capitivity for falconary. We decided to start releasing our babies thru a process called hacking and now 35 years later we slammed all of the experts. Success our top gun is back. Sadly we lost Bob to heart issues.two years ago.
