Save Bonita, aka Queen B!
We are raising money to benefit this precious pup, who was saved by Happy Tails Dog Rescue (that's us!) from Palm Beach Animal Care and Control with hours left to live.
(...the neglected, abused, abandoned, and/or simply forgotten dogs down here end up in dire circumstances as South Florida’s euthanasia rate for animals is higher than that of either Chicago or Los Angeles, and is three times higher than that of New York City!)
The more we learned about Bonita, the more we fell in love with her, but also the more her medical bills grew. She is heartworm positive - currently undergoing treatment, has severe dental disease requiring surgery, and has a shattered femur in need of orthopedic surgery. Additionally, she initially had had an intense flea infestation and although we have now cleared that up, she is still recovering from flea associated dermatitis.
Bonita is, and will continue to be getting the best of care, as is one of our rescue's core beliefs. In addition to proper heartworm treatment, which she must complete prior to dental and orthopedic surgery, she is also receiving:
1. Medical grade conditioning baths every five days per her veterinarian for her flea associated dermatitis.
2. Daily goat's milk for pre and probiotics to aid in her healing.
3. Daily veterinary grade omega-3 oil to assist her skin and bone health.
4. Dermoscent Essential 6 topical weekly to reduce irritation, diminish shedding and excessive hair loss, sustain hair regrowth.
5. High quality food and treats, all soft so she is able to eat them, and all functionally filled with ingredients designed to help her heal!
6. Lots of love, affection, care, toys, and time. Plenty of warm, soft beds and blankets.
In order to give Queen B everything she needs, we need to raise the funds. Her multiple surgeries and expensive heartworm treatment are worth every penny, but we need your help!
