Please Support the Shreiner Family as they deal with the sudden death of Jamie - the loving wife of Derek, the mother of 4 wonderful boys, the daughter of Brian and Donna Goble, the daughter in law to Kathy Strasser, the sister to Jake and Patty, and a friend to so many.

Written by Derek: I am saddened to announce that we lost a very special person on April 27th. Jamie is my best friend and the most amazing person I know... anyone who knew her would agree she was also the best mother in the world!Jamie had a complication during the laboring process that took her life. In short, it was called Amniotic Fluid Embolism (AFE) and it caused her to go into cardio respiratory distress. What AFE means is that she had some sort of anaphylaxis reaction to the fluid getting into her bloodstream. It's rare and often fatal, and was completely unexpected.

The doctor was able to save our son. He had a pretty rough start to his life and is in the NICU for a few more days of monitoring. He is so beautiful and I can see Jamie when I look at him. She would have been so proud and was so looking forward to holding him in her arms. He is doing well. His name is "Gavin Douglas Shreiner"... she loved the name Gavin.

Jamie's legacy will live on through our beautiful boys. Being a Mom was the biggest joy in her life... We will miss her more than anyone can imagine.

Thank you all for your thoughts, prayers and kind words. We are devastated beyond belief with the loss we are facing. It really hasn't completely registered that she is gone - what should have been a wonderful family celebration yesterday has turned into a deep loss for many.

Jamie truly changed the lives of those around her.  She was beautiful inside and out.  She was bold, she was courageous, she was sweet and incredibly loving.  She was in a league of her own.  Anyone who knew Jamie, knew that Derek is an amazing man.  He absolutely adored Jamie.  The loss of Jamie is heartbreaking and life changing for Derek.  He is left with a newborn baby boy and three beautiful sons ages 10, 7 and 2- who are all left with a tragic hole in their hearts.
