Lesi's tuition fund #GFMScholarship

I am Lesi Mei, an international graduate student from China. Currently I am pursuing Master of Music in Piano Performance in San Diego State University. Although I had a late start on professional piano performance study, I've always devoted my passion and time to piano and music. Before coming to US, I was the pianist of Beijing International Orchestra. After I came to San Diego, I actively performed in recitals and served/volunteered on the committee of the 2016 San Diego International Piano Competition for Outstanding Amatuers.
As an international student, tuition almost trippled in Cal State universities, leading to the annual expenses up to $30,000+ per year in California. With the restriction on international student employment, also the zero receiving of international tuition waiver of the entire Music and Dance department this year, fianancial balance is becoming very hard for me. I am truly grateful having the chance studying music, embracing my passion and gift. I am well aware that I am not the greatest musician yet, but I truly believe that through the years in SDSU, I will be an even better musician, to share more great music with you. Also I will continue to serve in the community organizations like AmateurPianists, to bring more and more great music to San Diego.
I started this fund project, also being encouraged by the #GFMScholarship campaign, as GoFundMe Scholarship, which will award ten college or postgraduate students $10,000 each to help pay for tuition. With minimum 10 donors with any ammount of donation, I will be qualified for a chance to receive this scholarship. I will be very appreciative of any amount you are able to contribute. I would love to perform concerts for top donors.
