Hi, my name is Fran Lanza-Bruscino. My best friend’s; Mary and Scott Phillip’s son Kevin, has been diagnosed with West Nile Virus Encephalitis. He is 19 years old and for the past 7 weeks he has been in ICU battling this dreaded disease. As it is viral, there is no cure for this, only hope and determination when this viral infection finally leaves his body. His condition is worsened, due to an auto immune disorder he was born with, which makes it harder for his body to fight this. Kevin’s battle with WNV-Encephalitis will be a long, long struggle and your prayers are needed every day.
As you know, Kevin is a warm loving kind hearted young man, always happy to help others and is a gentle soul and loved by all. From young to old everyone that meets him – gravitates to him.
