Harley's Breath for Life

Harley's story begins just a few days ago when she came into the Nash County Animal Shelter as a stray. With the great staff and volunteers they have, her information was posted and began to circulate; however, her owner has not been found. Soon after coming in, the volunteers and staff noticed Harley's struggle to breath. With help from PAWN NC, they were able to get her over to Coat's vet to be seen and also an evaluation through ECVI. The report was bad; but, there is hope! Surgery can save her; yet the cost will be high, roughly $5000-$6,000. Her heart needs to be placed back in it's right place and part of her lung will need to be removed. The full report will be posted in the pictures to read all the details and recommendations. At first, we, Odin's Orphans were unsure what to do. We have multiple medical cases right now and this will be a major undertaking. Through lining up volunteers and making several calls, we will be able to help this girl!
