Hello dear family and friends,
As most of you know, this last year has been a major challenge for me. It started last September with shooting pain in my hip and right leg. Over the past year it has gotten progressively worse. I am no longer able to sit or stand still in one place.
I have not been able to work for the past seven months and have undergone eight nerve blocks in various locations to find out what exactly is causing this pain. After having seen ten top specialists from Boston, Rhode Island and Florida I was finally diagnosed with Pudendal Neuralgia . This is a very rare condition that has taken many specialists and diagnostic imaging to unveil. 1 out of 100,000 people have Pudendal Neuralgia. It makes having sciatica feel like cake walk! It can sometimes be cured and the doctors are hopeful for me because I caught it in a timely manner. Most patients are diadnosed five years into it and have permanent nerve damage. However, it's going to take alot of time and continuation with different therapy and pain management techniques. I may need surgery in the end.
Over the winter I lost 23 pounds because the pain killed my appetite and I had to eat while walking. There wasn't a day without excruciating pain. At the moment I cannot drive because my right leg is numb and it's too painful to sit. I have to put all my weight on the steering wheel as to not sit and this resulted in a mini crash last week blow ing out a tire on a curb. Thank God there wasn't a person walking by. In addition I can no longer cook, clean or do normal daily functions.
I have just had a Pulse Radio Frequency treatment at the Newton Wellesley Pain Management Center. If it doesn't help I will have to see a specialist in Dallas Texas and another in Nantes France as they are two of the six surgeons in the world for Pudendal Neuralgia. My insurance pays for tier one doctors and the rest is out of pocket and out of network.
With no money coming in I am in dire need of your help. I have a mountain of medical bills, weekly treatments with various therapists, a chiropractor and a psychologist who deals with chronic pain to pay for.
If I am blessed with donations I will be able to pay my medical bills, pay for weekly therapy , buy food and cover my condo expenses until I find a renter. I have to move back to my parent's house in Bristol within the next week as I need some physical assistance. Thank God for my parents. They have helped me so much.
I hesitated to create a Go Fund Me page as my pride feels trampled. I am embarrassed to reach out like this but I have no other opitions. I am going out on a limb here dear family and friends and do not want any of you to feel uncomfortable with this request. Please help me ONLY if you can give unconditionally from the heart.
ALL my doctors tell me to try to reduce my stress so my body can have an advantage to heal properly. I've never been without money and I can tell you it's frightening! Additionally I cannot work which weighs heavy on me (you all know I am a worker bee).
I am so grateful for anyone who can help me. You will help get my life back to normal. As you can see I chose an exact amount based on my needs.
