Bama & Papa Need your help

Update:
Donald Smith January 10th 1923 - October 21st 2016

To all that have been a part of this campaign, we are so saddened to announce the passing of our beloved Papa. The family is devastated, but things have now gotten even more dire. Without his social security and veteran benefits there is even less to help in the day to day. We appreciate all of the outpouring of support and love but we have to continue to ask for any more help that can be given. Or even a share so other people can lend a hand. My mom is now trying desperately to get a job and figure a way to work and have help with my grandmother when she is out of the house but in the meantime their home is in jeopardy and the bills have piled up. Any help would be greatly appreciated because after the loss of Papa we cannot let my grandmother be uprooted. Thank you in advance for anything you can do to help

Original story:
My grandparents Don and Sema Smith who are now great grandparents to my children have been the driving force of our family for decades.
We call them Bama and Papa and they are the type of people to give you their last bite of food and their last dollar to help anyone or simply make you happy.  My grandfather was always the strong man who took care of everything and everyone.  He was a former USC football player.

They are loved by all and we hope this plea will be heard.

Papa lost his eyesight in his early 70's and was forced to stop working early.  Papa is now 93 and Bama is 89. They were able to get by with meager savings but now they have nothing left.
Our family is doing everything we can to keep them in their home and take care of them but funds were scarce and are now non-existent.  Medical bills have piled up. My mom, their daughter finally had to move in to become their caregiver and is unable to work because it's a 24 hour job. Everyone is doing the best they can and we are embarrassed to have to even ask for the help of others but they have gotten to a point where there is no other option.
These are two of the most incredible people that have ever walked this planet and we are desperately trying to find a way to help them, as we are also lucky to still have them.
Any amount will help and the gratitude of our family will be beyond measure.
Thank you for any help you can give and know that you will be supporting two incredible people that still have so much here waiting for them.
