Alex M. Boelk Fund

Alex M. Boelk, turned 17 on April 5th, and was just entering his Senior year at Warren High School.  His young life was tragically taken on Saturday, September 17th when he was killed in a hit-n-run accident around 10:20 p.m. 

Alex was very loved by his friends and family.  He was a kind-hearted young man with a great sense of humor, who loved life.  He also loved spending time with his cousin Jesse Allendorf and was riding with him and Katie Raisbeck that tragic night.  On the way to the Galena Walmart, they pulled off Stage Coach Trail onto Pea Ridge Rd because Alex wasn't feeling well.   As he was getting back into the back passenger seat of the car, an oncoming vehicle side-swiped them, throwing Alex many feet behind their car, causing severe head trauma and bodily damage.   

The vehicle that hit him fled the scene.  

Alex's brother, Austin Toepfer, an EMT and a  security officer on duty at the Apple Canyon Lake, called in to see if they needed him at the accident.  When he arrived at the scene, he noticed it was his little brother lying on the road and was quickly removed.  Alex was then transported to the Galena Hospital.  

When his  mother, Dawn Toepfer, received the call that he was involved in the accident, she tried frantically to get to the hospital to be with him.  But, before she could get there, she received the call that he didn't survive the extensive injuries his young body sustained. 

Dawn adores her boys.  She is a loving, hard-working, single mother to Austin, Alex, and Brady. 

The loss of a child is an unimaginable pain that no parent should ever have to endure.  With this tragic and horrific loss, she now has to plan a funeral and bury one of her babies.   

We're asking for immediate donations to be made to the Alex M. Boelk Fund to help pay for his funeral expenses.
