On Sunday, September 11, 2016 David was in a freak dirt bike accident.  He was going over a small jump and had to eject from the bike.  When he landed on his feet, he landed in such a way that caused his navicular bone (essentially the middle bone on the top of his foot) to shatter.  It is a closed wound so all of the pieces remain inside his foot.  X-rays show all of the minute pieces that will make repair to that bone difficult at best.

An inital surgery date has yet to be set but there will be at least two if not three more surgeries in total.

David will be out of work for an unknown amount of time.  Once his surgeries begin to be scheduled we will have a better idea of this timeframe.  This is obviously causing concern where bills are concerned.  Katie's salary covers all insurance and the mortgage payment along with a few other bills.  This leaves David's salary to pay for the day-to-day bills like groceries, daycare, credit card charges, phone/internet, etc.

We are hoping to gain support for our day-to-day expenses that will begain coming due in the next couple of weeks.  We are anticipating this situation could last 4 months or longer. Access to these funds will allow Katie to refocus on caring for David, Logan & Megan and getting back to our new "normal" life.  Your support is appreciated in more ways than we can even begin to express.
