Georgie's journey

At two days old we almost lost George to group b strep meningitis. Against the odds he somehow kept fighting and miraculously fought off the horrible disease. Our joy at this was however short lived as we were informed of his brain injuries and what to expect in the future.  Quadriplegic cerebral palsy, blindness, deafness, learning difficulties, seizures... our world was blown apart. Four years on and George is doing great, progressing in his own sweet time and always with a smile on his face.  Everything is a challenge though as George can't crawl or walk or communicate, this can be frustrating for all of us. There is of course lots of therapies and specialist equipment out there but sadly it all comes with a hefty price tag. Any kind donations are appreciated no matter how small and will go towards some upcoming purchases eg a backpack so i can take George to play in the woods, a specialist car seat, hippotherapy and rebound therapy which will strengthen his core muscles and give him the best chance of eventually walking and playing with his friends.
