Sporting Dream -2020 olympics

I have always been keen on sport and spent my early sporting years involved in football and rugby. In 2004 my attentions were drawn to athletics and more specifically throwing events and sprints. Inspired by the Athens olympics I took up athletics giving every event a go before going down the throwing event route. The difference in the shot put event to everything I had done before really excited me.
After competing consistently well for several years I am now looking to take my throwing to the next level. I’m a Gloucestershire based athlete seeking commercial and sponsorship opportunities to help me reach my aim of selection for the 2020 Olympics in Tokyo. Last year I improved my personal best to 18:07m and finished third on the UK rankings. I was selected to compete for Wales in the 2014 Commonwealth Games in Glasgow and learnt a lot from the experience.
Unfortunately I wasn't brought up with family that had a lot of money but I always believed I can shape my future and achieve success in sport. At the moment I am self funded and have to pay for all my training, equipment, travel and coaching. I need to make the most of the time available to train and reach the required standards set by UK Athletics to ensure selection.
I am coached by GB shot putter Zane Duquemin, unfortunately he lives in Jersey and so opportunities to visit him and train under his immediate guidance are very limited due to travel costs.

Next year I have a program of competition events both in the county and across the country and will be competing in The British Athletic League Premiership for Sheffield Athletics Club as a team mate of Jessica Ennis-Hill. I will also compete for my local club, Gloucester AC.
I am looking to work with companies to promote their business and help me achieve my sporting ambitions.
