Angels for Skylar Brynne
On Tuesday, September 6, 2016 I took my baby, Skylar, for her 4 month well-baby checkup. She was normal, other than a cold, and then the doctor informed me she also had a fever. The doctor also informed me that it was perfectly safe for her to still receive 4 out of 5 scheduled vaccinations. Her fever went away the next day and she was my normal, happy baby. By Friday, September 9, 2016, while I was at work, she stopped breathing at the baby sitter's house. She was blue and the sitter performed CPR and revived her. She improved at the hospital, but 12 hours before the end of her observational stay, she had a seizure in my arms following a nursing session. She has been sedated, intubated, pumped full of meds, poked various times with needles, and hooked up to a constant EEG. She has had a vast array of tests, including blood tests, CT scan, MRI and two lumbar punctures. There have been no answers. Meanwhile, I am missing work and losing money to stay here in the hospital with her. I can't pay my rent or other bills and I fear that when she's released, I won't have a home to take her to. If you could please find it in your hearts to help me in my time of need, so I can be here with my daughter and not have to worry about everything else. Doctors don't know how long it will take to find the right medicine to control her seizures. Thank you in advance to all who help and pray for my daughter's recovery.
