When my brother, Josh called to say "I have something to tell you", for a moment I thought... a baby or news that they were moving closer to home.
My name is Hope and Josh has been my brother for 39 years....I even remember the day my mom brought her baby boy home.
Josh has a boy of his own now, Holden, age 4... with his wife of 8 years, Shagra. He's also a son, an uncle to my son, Tucker, a colleague and a beloved FRIEND to so many.
Anyone who knows Josh, knows that he's got a comedic sense of humor and is always the first to poke fun at himself and make people laugh (I cringe at some of his facebook posts ...ha!). Even with the devastating news of Stage 4 Lung Cancer, he's managed to put a positive spin on it and he's ready for the fight and determined to WIN.... And what drives him? It's no doubt the out pouring of love and support from his family and amazing group of friends!
Josh has a long road ahead him...in every sense of the word .... CHEMO begins on Sept 13th at a Cancer Institute which is 340 miles round trip.
Speaking of 'trips'.... In May, 2017, Josh & Shagra plan to take Holden to Disney for the first time. Now that's a 'trip' to look forward to!
The reason for this campaign is to primarily help out with fuel and the onslot of medications and miscellaneous bills. Regardless if you can help or not, we just ask that you keep Josh and familyin your prayers.
Our family can't THANK YOU enough for your Prays & words of encouragement....PLEASE keep them coming, it's the one thing WE can do... The rest is in GODS hands!
