Water filters for Ecuador

My name is Gary Vance and I am pastor of Word of Life Ministries in Leoma,Tennessee. I have made several trips to Ecuador in the past and have established friendships with numerous people there.
Most of you know there was a devastating 7.8 earthquake there last week. I am making a rushed trip there very soon and I will be taking water filters to pass out to victims who are desperate for clean drinking water. I am opening this account to help fund the purchase of the filters and the costs of the trip. I am a very frugal traveler with few personal needs, but there are expenses that I could use some help with.
The filters cost $50 each and are capable of providing clean water for up to 100 people per day and treat a million gallons. I will take as many as I can on this trip and I will be assessing the situation on the ground and establishing contacts there for future efforts.
The beautiful people of Ecuador are gentle folks with warm and welcoming hearts and thousands have entered into a long season of suffering. Clean water is their most acute need as municipal water systems for several major cities and countless towns and villages have been destroyed. Please pray for them and for me as I make this trip.
