Kevin's Funeral Expenses

My name is Eddie Courtright. My cousin Kevin Marquis passed away on September 2, 2016 at the age of 43. His passing was sudden and tragic for all involved. Kevin collapsed on Wednesday evening and was rushed to the hospital. It was determined that he had suffered a brain aneurism. He was placed on life support and was evaluated over the next two days for brain and body function. Friday evening, with friends and family by his side, Kevin was removed from all supports and passed within a few hours.
Kevin has one close family member remaining; his sister. His mother and father passed some years ago, and his brother died tragically 2 years ago under similar circumstances as Kevin. Because of this, his sister has been left with remaining financial burdens from her brother’s death two years ago and now making arrangements for her only remaining family member.
Kevin helped others through his personal and professional life over the years. Even though he was left with a physical disability (spinal cord injury) after an accident when he was young, he was always there to help others, including myself. He continues to help others even after his death. Kevin was an organ donor and even though his brain was damaged, the doctors were able to use his cardiac valves, skin grafts, and eyes for donation.
Kevin has inspired me over the years because he was not supposed to walk after his accident. He was determined to walk again and met that goal. He also went back to school and earned two degrees over the years in the areas of Humanities and Human Services. During this difficult time I would like to reach out to help his family and felt that this would be one way to do so, since they are struggling to finance Kevin's funeral and burial.
