Bernie's Life Celebration From Nick
On June 30, 2016, our family lost a beloved wife, mother, daughter, sister, aunt and friend Bernadette Marie Olsen. In mid July, a beautiful service was held to celebrate her life.
Now, almost two months later, we find ourselves in the horrible predicament of having to deal with another family member's death. This time, however, it is a mother, daughter, sister, aunt and friend to many...our baby sister Bernadette Lee Stone. At only 42 years old, Bernie left behind an 18 year old son named Nicholas Dolo. He, as well as the rest of her family and friends are devastated by this sudden and tragic loss. Because Bernie did not leave a will behind, and because her son is too young to handle such a financial burden on his own...we are asking for the generous support of all who knew and loved Bernadette. We need to remember her life with respect and dignity and want to show Nicholas, her son, how loved she was.
Our family is doing our best to gather as much as possible, financially, to ensure that her cremation, flowers, and celebration of life come to fruition. But we still need support; after dealing with the elder Bernadette's funeral expenses in July. Won't you please consider a small donation so that we can help Nicholas celebrate his mother's life with each of you? Our goal is to raise $2500 to see this day come to fruition asap. Please understand that Nick no longer has a mother to walk with him, talk to him, and encourage him through these next difficult years into college and adulthood. Please show Nick that there are loving mom's (a.k.a. surrogates) who will love him unconditionally and show him that there is truly a lot of love in this world. Help us to celebrate that day with you. Bernie was a beautiful woman who loved whole heartedly...and she needs to be remembered that way. Thank you for your consideration and generosity.
