2nd Annual Fundraiser For Homeless
Tax deductible
On Wednesday November 21, 2018 Chef Terry of the Shipwreck Grill will be sleeping on a bench from sundown to sunrise until thanksgiving morning to bring awareness to the homeless and less fortunate neighbors in our community. All proceeds will be donated to Trinity Church of Asbury Park. Trinity church serves 35,000 meals a year to local residents in our community through their soup kitchen and food pantry. In addition to fighting hunger, Trinity Church provides shelter during extreme weather conditions, known as Code Blue. From 6 pm to 7 Am when the temperature drops below freezing, the gym doors are open to offer the community a safe and warm place to stay. Last year there were over 28 code blue nights and 8 the year before. They need the support from the community to make this happen each year. Our goal is to raise at least $5,000 to reach their year-end goal and give a hand to those in need this holiday season. Any donation is greatly appreciated.
