Disabled Man Scammed out of Home

Please God Help Us,
My name is William Batten. My step-father Michael Greenwood had a room mate (non family) that was freeloading (refused to pay rent) who convinced Michael that me (the only child that does not live with him) was going to put him in a nursing home and that he needed him to sign a power of attorney to save him on 7/10. We just found out (Myself & Michael Greenwood) Sunday 8/26 that somehow the room mate inserted a Quit Deed into the paperwork and transferred my step-dads house for $10. Michael Greenwood had no idea he signed a quit deed as 10 days later after it was signed, he came to me asking for me to pay the back taxes on the house or he was going to loose it. So I got a loan from work to pay the back taxes. But because that tax records hadn't been updated yet from the Quit Deed, we unknowingly ended up paying the scammers back taxes.
My father is 58 and is permanent disabled for a back injury. He also has heart issues, hepatitis C & uncontrollable sugar. He is low income as he only gets $197 a week from NY workers Comp. The man cannot afford an attorney to get him back his home. On Monday Aug 29th (the day after we found out the house had been transferred) my father fell off the bed and fractured his hip. The roommates girlfriend (who also lived there) left him on the floor for hours finally texting my wife saying he was on the floor again and for us to come get him because she had an appointment. We asked her to call 911, she refused and left. While my dad was in the hospital, the room mate sold the house to a wholesaler (no listing for sale) for really cheap and left the state leaving him homeless. The roommate also told the new owner that my dad was never coming back. Luckily we were able to get ahold of the new owner before all the house contents were thrown away.
We really need your help! Please. Not only did he get scammed out of his home. He is also now going to get cut from Medicaid due to a clause about giving away assets. This is a death sentence for this man. He has to have medical coverage or he will die.
We plan to use all donations to pay an attorney to fight for his home back and to help him relocate. The scammer knew he was poor and isn't expecting a fight. Please, for the love of god. Don't let this man lose his home. We need to get the attorney on it asap.
Me being the step-son, I used all my resources paying the back taxes on a house we thought was still owned by my father. And my home is full as I have a full grown daughter and grandchild still living at home. I have no other financial resources to help.
