Hey guys, It's Donald Morey. Had an extremely bad run of luck with my health. At the beginning of August I hurt my back through a combination of overdoing it at work and having to move myself to a new location.
Not clear on when and where exactly it happened, I'm not entitled to worker's compensation. Having missed a month's of work through ER visits, mandatory time off and an employer extremely ruluctant to work even on light duty I have temporarily lost my ability to sustain myself.
I have a ruptured/herniated disc in my L5 area requiring surgery on the 8th and have no insurance. The main point of this is not to pay my medical bills, though some will go in that direction, primarily it is to simply be able to maintain a roof over my head and to pay for food, bills, and any post-op medication I'll require since I don't have insurance.
I have no idea how long I'll be unable to work, I even attempted to get additional employment to scratch up something before the surgery. Not too many businesses are willing to hire someone on light duty who is likely going to be out of comission in less than a week.
As far as a period of time that I need help, well right now bills are already pressing heavily upon me after almost a month out of work. My hope is for 10 days if at all possible, though to be honest anything that can help would be greatly appreciated. I really dislike asking for help as I've always tried to be self sufficient and to be the one people could rely on.
I can't express how much I would appreciate any help offered.
