Rafaelina's Medical Expenses

Just recently our dearly beloved friend was diagnosed with a brain tumor after suffering an unexpected seizure while at work. After being brought to the hospital and numerous of testing Scans/MRI; it was determined that she had an inoperable tumor on the right side of her brain.
The frontal lobe mainly involved in motor function, judgment, motivation, planning and speech. The Doctors were hesitant about operating because of its massive size. The tumor was the size of a baseball and it ' location was even worse as doctors were afraid of our Dear friend becoming paralyzed.
One thing for sure was that the Tumor had to be partially removed or she would have died from the pressure leaning against on her brain. On April 20, 2016 the Doctors operated on our Dear friend, she spent a week in ICU and was transferred to a rehabilitation Center.
The doctors said that her recovery would be 6 months to a year perhaps even longer. One of the risk of having this very high risk surgery the possibility of losing all motor skills and she did.
Today Rafelina can barely speak, she can't walk and her entire left side of her body is completely paralyzed.
Rafelina is well known in our community, we are trying to raise as much funds as possible in order to help her with medical expenses and maintain her apartment while in rehab.
Rafelina has two little girls that are being cared by friends as we wait for family members to arrive from the Dominican Republic and they are doing the best they can to raise the girls while their mother is in Rehab.
I ask you to please to donate any little amount you can. So we can help Rafelina with her apartment and Medical expenses.
Her little girls need a home to live in while their mom recovers. It's going to be a very long journey ahead for Rafelina and with the grace of God and all of us. Her main focus should only be in recovering and getting strong enough to come home and be with her daughters and live a normal healthy life.

Recientemente nuestra amiga Rafaelina Peralta fue diagnosticada con un tumor en el cerebro después de haber tenido un episodio de epilepsia encontrándose en horas de trabajo. Al ser ingresada al hospital y habérsele realizado diversas pruebas; fue dictaminado que presentaba un tumor inoperable en la parte derecha del cerebro; Ósea en la parte frontal que es donde se encuentra involucrado el sistema del movimiento, el habla y el razonamiento.
Los doctores se encontraban en un dilema si operarla o no ya que el tumor presentaba un tamaño bastante grande era como una bola de béisbol y su localización era demasiado peligrosa la podría dejar paralítica pero si no era operaba el tumor seguía creciendo y estaba ocasionando una gran presión en su cerebro.
En abril 20 , 2016 los medicos operaron a nuestra amiga y estuvo una semana en ICU, ahora fue trasladada a un centro de rehabilitación los medicos dicen que su recuperación tomara entre 6 meses a 1 año. una de las probabilidades como les comente anteriormente que Rafaelina podrías perder el movimiento y lastimosamente fue así ella levemente puede hablar pero eso si ella no camina su lado Izquierdo quedo completamente paralizado.
Rafaelina es conocida en nuestra comunidad y estamos tratando de recaudar fondos para sus medical expenses y el mantenimiento de sus hijas mientras ella se encuentra en rehabilitación.
Rafaelina tiene dos hijas que se encuentran en estos momentos cuidadas por amistades mientras que miembros de su familia llegan de República Dominicana. sus amigas están realizando un gran trabajo en sustentar y criar en estos momentos a las niñas mientras su madre se encuentra en rehabilitación.
Les pedimos su colaboración, por favor, donen lo que le sea posible y así podremos ayudar a nuestra amiga Rafaelina y a sus hijas con los gastos medicos y el mantenimiento de ellas...
Sus hijas necesitan una casa donde vivir mientras su madre se recupera, será una larga jornada para Rafaelina pero con la gracia de Dios y la ayuda de ustedes ella se enfocará en su recuperación y estará fuerte para regresar a casa y tener una vida normal y saludable.
