Help get Kristen back on her feet

On Saturday August 27, Kristen was relaxing with her dog in her home, a cozy trinity in Fishtown where she recently took in a close friend, when tragedy struck. An electrical fire started on the second floor, igniting the guest futon. Despite trying to fight the fire, the house quickly filled with smoke and the fire spread to the rest of the house. Fortunately Kristen, her friend and her dog Kaycee were able to evacuate, though her friend's cat perished in the fire.
 Fleeing with little more than the clothes on her back, her car keys and wallet, Kristen lost virtually everything. While she is dealing with temporary displacement and insurance issues, Kristen is starting over with next to nothing. This fund is to help her get back on her feet so that she can seek a new permanent residence. The money raised will cover the expenses associated with leasing a new place to live, purchasing necessities and replacing items that will not be fully covered by renters insurance. While Kristen is lucky to have made it out of the fire, this is an incredibly difficult time because she has lost so much. I first met Kristen when I was in college, and we were instant friends. When I came out after college, I pushed away my friends because I was afraid I would be treated differently. Five years later I ran into Kristen at a concert, and she immediately reconnected with me, helping me shed my fears and treating me with nothing but love. Kristen was the catalyst for me to rebuild my friendships, bringing me back into the lives of people who I thought I had lost forever. Kristen showered me with kindness and helped me start over, and now I want to do the same for her after she has lost everything. Please help Kristen in her time of need.
