Hello, I'm Cameron. How are you? That's great/ok/not so great. I'm doing pretty well. You see, I'm trying to go to London this summer in order to study abroad with the English department here at Virginia Tech. While I am an aspiring English major and taking English classes in London (like viewing some of Shakespeare's play's in the Globe theater) I'm also going so that I can try to get some real-life experience as a Documentary Photographer/ Filmmaker. The filmmaker part is a recent update in my adventure, I recently got a taste for film-making and hope to practice in order to attempt to do it officially.
However (and there's always a however): I can't quite afford it on my own. Now this is where you come in, the utterly fantastic charity person who sees fit to donate money to my cause. I promise that while in London, I will make a documentary about my trip as a thanks to all my sponsors, as well as a blog or publicly accessible journal or something for everyone to follow along with.
Now to get a bit serious: I really do need the help, which is why I've created this page. I've done what I could to pay for what I can. I've sold my '65 Mustang that I was in the process of restoring in order to pay for most of the first half, but I still need help. I feel that this trip is important enough as a learning experience that I am willing to sacrifice my stubborn pride and ask you all for help. I would sincerely appreciate anything you can spare and if you can't spare anything, I ask that you wish me luck in my fundraising endeavor.
Thank you all for your help, prayers and well-wishes.
