Happy Cat Sanctuary has dedicated our place and time to focus on helping cats and kittens in theGordon Heights area of Long Island, New York. Cats are being killed, hit by cars and being left to fend for themselves. We have come in to help all of the cats by bringing them here to safety. Most recently, we helped 3 cats with critical injuries that have cost us thousands of dollars. This money we are raising will help pay for the 3 cats and others in need of help. The black kitten was found in Gordon Heights with a crushed leg. He has a 10 week rehabilitation with the possibility that he may still lose his leg. The gray and white cat had to have his front leg removed because it was to badly damaged but had a speedy recovery and is doing well! The black and white kitten was found unable to breath and had an emergency tracheotomy and is doing better as well. Happy Cat needs your help!
(Above) Acid was thrown on this cat causing serious injuries.
We have been tremendously busy on rescuing over 75 cats during many situations with cats in need of being relocated and have just lost track of the GoFundMe fundraisers and Have Not put up a new one in quite awhile.
Recently We rescued 30 cats from a trailer park that was going to be demolished people left their cats behind when they left their trailers do to people having to live in their cars ,not able to take their cats.
We also continuing our efforts in Gordon Heights with rescuing cats and kittens.
We thank all our supporters for your understanding during this very difficult year in rescue we hope that you continue to support us in the future!!
After glancing through your photos and seeing what people do to helpless animals I want to go out and find each one of them and crack them across the head several times with a baseball bat. I know my problem seems trite compared to the things you must see everyday. I realize that. But still, I need some help. As I said, I have no problem donating whatever I can to your organization. I'm trying to figure out how to post a photo so you can see these cats. But as I said, I have difficulty with modern technology.
Hi, I'm trying desperately to get these cats somewhere they won't freeze when the cold weather comes. I Have been feeding them since May. I'm presuming they are mother and baby - they are skiddish with people but rub against each other and are affectionate toward each other. They are starving every night when the come here and cry at my glass door for hours watching me cook. This is starting to be a point of contention with my family. This has been a torturous month knowing the cold is coming. I don't want them to be separated. Nor do I want them to be killed. They are so beautiful and are finally at the point where they'll come and take the food out of my hands. They are not ferrel. It seems like someone threw them out or moved away without them. I'm putting up some pictures if I can figure out how - I will be happy to donate enough for food etc. for a while. As much As I can get together. PLEASE whoever I am speaking to, can you call me at 631 617 3453. I really stink at communicating on any other medium. But I need to talk to someone. It's getting cold and they cry at the door for hours. It's heartbreaking to have to see them. I need advice or some assistance.
Thank you for being there for them -- 24/7 -- it boggles the mind that there are cats out there hanging by a thread, suffering, desperate --- then, you come along -- thank you -- also thank you to those who communicate what they see - but esp. thank you for those who DO whatever it takes to give these cats happy and healthy lives.
Omg Chris. I’ve been looking for you for along time . I just came across this . You are very missed and hopefully we can come visit one day and help out . We love you
Got it -- thank you.
