Let's Help Dan Schneider

Dear Friends:
As many of you have already heard, our dear friend Dan Schneider is currently in the hospital and fighting for his life. On Thursday, August 11, 2016, while riding his bicycle home, Dan was struck by a car. As a result of the accident, Dan suffered several broken bones and major trauma to his head, which resulted in a hematoma of the brain. The decision was made to put Dan into a medically induced coma as the extent of the damage to Dan's body was unclear and it was determined that this was the best way to allow him to heal without further injuring himself.
As of our writing this, Dan is showing some signs of improvement such as moving a leg or squeezing a hand on command. However, his left side seems to be paralyzed and we don’t know what is happening inside his head where the trauma is.
Those of us who know Dan have no doubt that his huge heart and fighting spirit will allow him to make a full recovery. However, there is also no doubt that the road to recovery will be long and expensive. As a result, we have decided to reach out to Dan's friends to help with some of the expenses that will arise as a result of this horrible accident. We know that even if you have only known Dan for a brief time or casually, you have been touched by his positive light and fun-loving attitude. We ask that you look into heart and your wallet and donate to this Go Fund Me campaign to help Dan in his time of need. We have set a goal of $25,000 and have no doubt that with the generosity for which Dan's friends are known, this goal can be reached in little to no time.
All of the money raised will be used for Dan’s medical bills and other related expenses. Dan is a great guy and any amount we can give him will help immensely. Dan's mother, Barbara Schneider, will have access to the funds and be able to apply them where needed.
