Curtis and Bonnie - RV

Curtis and Bonnie Szakacs spend most of their lives on the road ministering to others. They have 8 beautiful children that are also involved in the family ministry. Much of the time they all travel together in an RV from one province to the next. Their motorhome has become an amazing asset as they don’t have to ask for accommodations at the many places they minister. It is their school, hotel, kitchen, music room, gym (especially when parked beside a playground!) and has been happily dubbed their “Rolling Home on the Prairies!” by one of their children.

In early August 2016, the engine on their RV died while they were driving to a camp in Alberta where they were going to minister. While the family was able to get a ride to the camp that they were ministering at, the RV had to be parked nearby. Over the next week as Curtis and Bonnie were at another camp the RV was vandalized and many of their possessions were stolen.

We have now learned that the RV will need to have a different (rebuilt or new) engine and many repairs because of the vandalism. The damage and costs of these repairs is so great that it may be best for the family to upgrade the RV to something newer.

God has been good and has given Curtis and Bonnie peace through all of these very difficult times. They said that this has made them realize what their treasures truly are - their children, as well as the many children that they bring the message of Jesus to all year long!!! They have continued to minister and fulfill the commitments they have had this month, but it is not easy without their 'home on wheels’.
