#TakingCareOfTammy

On Friday April 14th, our good friend Tammy Meyer suffered a major stroke after an adverse reaction to the medication/sedative she received during a dentist visitation. She was life-flighted to Utah Valley Hospital in Provo Utah where she remains in the Intensive Care Neurological Trauma Unit.

For the last 25 years Tammy has devoted her life to taking care of her Special Needs daughter, Katy who has Prader-Willi Syndrome. Tammy has also always been an animal lover, but recently had the opportunity to become involved in animal rescues and the transporting of animals for adoption, even bringing home a number of rescued animals to be part of her family.

Only lately did Tammy find a calling greater and with more meaning than helping abandoned animals find their forever homes, and that was helping people to restore and improve their health with Kyani Products. Although it seems that many people look at selling these products as an income opportunity, that was far from Tammy’s goal. She was overwhelmed with the reward of seeing people get healthy again! The only thing that seemed to make Tammy smile bigger than finding that forever home for her rescue animals, was to hear about the difference that Kyani made to a suffering person’s health!

We don’t yet know what lies ahead for Tammy but it is certain to be a big change to her and her family’s life. The Life-Flight and hospital costs alone will be tremendous and while her daughter Katy has Medicaid due to her disability, and her husband Doug has Medicare due to his age, Tammy did not have any insurance coverage. Her family took a chance that because of Tammy’s health and vigor that they would not face a life-changing catastrophe until she reached 65 and qualified for Medicare or that the insurance premiums would change with the election of a new President.

Tammy’s husband Doug has worked for himself for the last 10 years and although they could get by, it is certainly not near enough cover these catastrophic expenses.

Tammy is still in ICU and we are hoping she will make her way to a rehabilitation center soon.  Please help her get back to her husband, daughter and the new life she loves so much…helping others!!  Tammy would give the shirt off her back for anyone, so please let’s pay it forward.  Please help us rally around her and help ease her family’s burden.

Thank you for any help you can give.
