Jack & Lisa

On June 9th Jack went in for a cardiac stress test where they determined he would need an angiogram. His heart was healthy, but his arteries were blocked. He was admitted to St. Luke’s Medical Center in Phoenix and on June 11th he had quadruple bypass surgery.  Complications arose in the following days and test showed he had a stroke.

Prior to this event Jack was an avid hiker and outdoorsman.

June 17th an MRI was done and found damage to the right back part of his brain, which affected the left side of his body.

Renal issues followed and two days later, he developed pneumonia.  Dr’s were able to clear up both of these problems.

June 23rd Dr’s did a tracheostomy to maintain his airway and they also placed a PEG tube (feeding tube).

3 weeks ago, Jack went to Rehab but developed sepsis and was readmitted to the hospital.  He is still very critical and has been plagued with so many issues and infections.  It’s been 9 long weeks for Jack and Lisa.

The coming weeks, months, and even years will present massive life changes for Jack and Lisa.

These changes will also come with significant financial burdens.

By starting this fund, we are hoping to help Lisa cope with their living expenses and unknown costs, so she can focus on Jack’s recovery and health.

Every little bit helps. Thank you all for your love, prayers and support for Jack and Lisa.

Jack married his soulmate, Lisa Stephens in 1994. They have been inseparable and have worked side by side for 22 years.

Jack honorably served in the US Army in the mid 60's stationed in Germany.  After his discharge he remained in Germany for 10 years working in sales.
