My name is Marc Bennett.  I reside in Corner Brook, Newfoundland and I am a highly educated law abiding Canadian firearm owner.

During my research and study into all different types of firearms and the laws surrounding them, I have found those said laws to be HIGHLY draconian and non-sensical.  Therefore I took it upon myself to try and change things using the new e-petition process via Canadian Parliament.  

The experience from start to finish was one of hope, one of empowerment and one of teamwork.  I had the help of great people and gun organizations which brought on the most signatures in Parliament history at that time.  

Unfortunately, it was never meant to be.  With all the facts, with all the statistics and with all the signatures, the Federal Liberal government decided to ignore it all and denied the e-petition and swiftly threw it on the RCMP's table.

Well, I want to make a second go of it to keep the pressure on!  There is no set time for when another petition will be tabled, but it will be done so at the correct and most convenient one when the gun community feels we have a fighting chance at success.

The money will be used SOLELY for advertising and event setup.  If the advertising is taken care of with funds left over, I would like to use it to be able to hold a seminar to educate people on why it is such an important petition.

This means so much to me because I want to see the most law abiding group of people in Canada treated fairly and with respect.  This will be the first endeavour of its kind on a large scale and I would like your help in getting me there.
