Andrea's Medical & Funeral Fund

This is not easy for me to do because I 1) hate asking people for money and 2) hate seeing my sister in pain. To put it plainly, I wish we didn't have a need to ask for money.

As most of you know, my strong, beautiful, brave sister (a.k.a Wonder Woman) has suffered through much in her brief 44 years on this earth, and because of this, her heart has finally reached a point where it is giving out.

Following is a brief synopsis of everything she's been through: She was first diagnosed with leukemia on her 20th birthday. When she was 31, we were completely shocked and devestated when the leukemia reared its ugly head once again. As a part of the bone marrow and stem cell transplants she went through for treatment, she received extremely high doses of radiation. Sadly, this radiation, which enabled her to survive in the short run, has caused irreversible damage to her body in the long run, triggering a heart attack about 10 years ago, which naturally caused severe damage to her heart.

Andrea is now going to be transferred down to the University Medical Center in Tucson within the next day or two to get a heart pump, which hopefully, will help to get her strong enough to have a heart transplant. This means her husband and my family will have to commute two hours in order to visit with her. (Although, I find this a bit serendipitous, since the U of A is where her first transplant took place 24 years ago.)

It would help my sister and Aaron so much if you could pitch in even $5.00, especially since her annual medical bills are $15,000, and only Aaron is able to work.

We are so grateful to all of you, and for everything you do. If you are unable to donate any money, then she can use all the prayers, positive energy, beautiful thoughts, and big hugs she can get! My sister is one tough cookie, but it is the support of all of you that has helped to get us this far.
