Funding my Masters at Oxford
Donation protected
Hello, I am Dumi Senda, a Zimbabwean poet and Human Rights and Peace actvist. In 2013, I made the hardest decision of my life to go back and study as a mature student. Despite my fears of struggling to cope with grasping new concepts after years of being out of formal education, I graduated with a First class Honurs degree in International relations and Peace Studies. I was also awarded the Dean's price for the best Independant project and Excellence in Politics and Aplied Global Ethics. I was delighted to be accepted at Oxford University for a Masters in African Studies, which will enhance my Human Rights and Peace work, particularly in relation to Child Rights. However, I have not managed to secure sufficient funding to meet all my expenses in spite of having successfully applied for a Government loan, which only covers my University fees. With your generosity, I aim to raise £5000 towards my College expenses by the 30th of September 2016. Any ammount will be greatly appreciated, as it will help me to achieve my lifetime commitment of serving my country and continent, particularly at a time where Zimbabwe is ravaged by poor leadership and disregard of Human Rights.
