I am Richard Thomson. The older brother of Jackie "Cha" Thomson. Jackie passed away unexpectedly at the age of 49 on Monday, August 15, 2016. I have started this Go Fund Me page on behalf of my 2 nephews, Maxwell & Nicholas. They are 16 year old twins who are devastated by the loss of their beloved mother. They reside with my mother, their grandmother, who does not have the means to fully take care of them. She is 79 years old, on a fixed income and also heartbroken. This is the 2nd daughter she lost before the age of 50, both within the last 5 years. My wife and I do all we can to help support them, but we need additional help.
Jackie was a beautiful woman inside and out. She was spirited, vibrant, intelligent and loving. She lit up the room wherever she went and would always make people laugh. If you knew Jackie, you knew her outrageous laugh and her twisted sense of humor. She was always upbeat, positive and courageous. Her family was everything to her. She loved her kids (more then words could describe).
On Saturday August 14, Jackie awoke in a cold and clammy state, was sweating profusely, advanced heart rate and was vomiting. She was transported to the the ER immediately. It was determined she had an infection and was put on IV antibiotics. Unfortunately, the infection turned septic. Which led to extremely low blood pressure, increased heart rate and internal bleeding. The supply of oxygen to her brain was insufficent to sustain activity and we lost her.
There are no words to describe the sudden passing of such a beautiful person. and the gem of all of our lives. We find comfort in the fact that Jackie is finally reunited with sister Lynda (who passed away 5 years ago of Diabetes) and her father, who passed 20 years ago. However, we would like to help ease as much financial burden as possible for this heartbroken family in need. All funds will go directly to my mom and the boys.
