Lola's Surgery Fund

Donation protected
Jason and I adopted Lola when she was six years old. We could not have asked for a better pet. She has shown us unconditional love throughout the years and immediately became a permanent member of our family.
Since moving to Missouri from Colorado, we have seen Lola's health progressively decline. Once a fat cat at 13 lbs, she now weighs only 6 lbs. She has become lethargic and weak, although her spirit and heart are still bigger than ever. At first we attributed it to signs of getting older, as she just turned 11 this month. However, after a few visits to the vet, we have learned that it is something much more serious.
Through ultrasounds, the vets have found that Lola has food that has been sitting in her intestines which has caused them to expand and push against her abdomen, resulting in a distended abdomen. This has caused her to not be able to digest food properly and often results in frequent vomiting. Fluid has also built up in the abdomen and because of this the vet believes that she may either have inflammatory bowel disease or lymphoma, which is a form of cancer that is commonly found in cats.
In order to save her life and get her back to the old happy, healthy, cat she once was, they must perform a surgery to find the exact diagnosis and treat it. Although she is getting a bit older, Jason and I believe she still has a long life to live, as some cats can reach the age of 20 years old.
This procedure is financially unexpected, however we are willing to do whatever we can to help her because she has already given us so much. This is why we are reaching out and asking you to help us reach the funds required to make this surgery happen for our beloved family member, Lola.
The funds will be used directly for the costs of this surgery and the treatment. It would mean SO MUCH to us for anyone who is able to donate, even if it's just $5. I truly believe she still has a long life to live with her family and I don't know what we would do without her!
Thank you so much to anyone who can or wants to help, your act of kindness will not go unnoticed.
Sincerely, Cassie and Jason.
