Mom of 7 and Fighting Cancer

My name is Kayce and this is about my incredible friend, Brandy Shaver. To know her is to love her. She is a single mother of 7 who is battling cancer, and she happens to be one of my biggest role models in life. She has taught me through her actions and example what it means to be selfless, generous and giving to those in need, compassionate and patient with those around us, and what it means to be a fierce and amazing mother. You know when you hear about or read those stories of that one person who has been through so much in their life, their own personal hell, and somehow they come out on the other side an even stronger, tougher, kinder, wiser, more gentle person? Yep, that's Brandy. I have never met another living soul so eager to serve and give to others, so aware of the needs of those around her. Well, now is the time to give back to this wonderful human being!

I first met Brandy at Paul Mitchell the School Rexburg, where she started as one of my students. Little did I know that it was she who be teaching me how to be a softer, more considerate human being. She would later go one to become a fellow teacher with me and I had the joy of seeing her nurture and educate so many minds and students, and helping each one of them see the potential and greatness they possessed in themselves. 

Brandy has 7 beautiful children and it's apparent what a great mother she is by seeing how great her kids are. There's nothing that she wouldn't do for them. She is the sole income earner, so needing to do chemotherapy and radiation treatments has taken her away from the job that she loves, and her livelihood. Most of Brandy's expenses will not be covered by insurance, so any monetary donation means a great deal! She is regularly driving back and forth between Rigby and Salt Lake City for her treatments and doctor's visits. School is about to start and I know how the needs list for all the kids can surely add up quickly. ANY AMOUNT, no matter the size, is greatly appreciated and will help this sweet family!
