A close family friend, Nicky Nagy, her husband Andreas, and two young girls (Alice & Ellie) barely escaped from a fatal fire that consumed their home in Valle Crucis, North Carolina and their restaurant business plus 100% of their possessions were lost. And while jumping out their 2nd story bedroom window, Nicky suffered four broken vertebra and is currently hospitalized while her family is homeless just days before school starts for the girls.

Not only are they facing ever-increasing medical bills and continuing recovery treatments, they have to rebuild both their lives and livelihood starting with basic daily essentials like clothes, school supplies, toiletries, furniture, medicines, transportation  etc. and of course, new housing.

Everyone involved would be grateful and thankful for any donation to help them face their new life challenges and daily needs,

Hi Ann, I am much the same. I am in the back brace most of the time, next x-ray and checkup in 3 weeks... I am doing good though not much pain now, just house bound, no driving and poor Andreas doing all the running around. The kids are good and still enjoying school. Alice is getting ready for Home Coming. We found a home to rent for winter and are just trying to gather furniture. Your friend, Kimberly Anuszkiewicz has offered some furniture, just gotta get down there.
We are paying medical bills as they come in thanks to “Go Fund Me”. We are still not sure what we can do with the burn site hoping to get all the homeowners together to discuss this. We have to regroup and figure out how we can get a mortgage. XOXO Nicky

Not to be outdone by her older sister, Alice, Ellie also drew a picture on Nicky's body brace to cheer her up. Great job. Ellie.

Most of us can never Imagine how a complete stranger can affect your life in just a few minutes.
IT WAS ARSON - and an arrest has finally been made.

Nicky and Andreas Nagy are feeling so blessed that they are all still alive. Andreas wants to thank friends for providing him clothing and boots so he can return to work. Unfortunately, Nicky will be on her back resting most of the time for at least another 5 weeks.
Sadly their neighbors were not so lucky. I just wanted to thank all of my friends and the Nagy's friends and so many complete strangers again for their kind- hearted donations to help Nicky, Andreas, Alice and Ellie recover from their horrible loss.

Alice decorated Nicky's body brace to make her feel better. She wrote a mathematical formula on it. I remember Alice when she was in the 1st grade and she used to play school and teach Ellie how to read.
