Jason's Heart & Kidney Transplant

On June 30th, 2016, a crisis rattled our lives: Jason was found at work, collapsed and deteriorating quickly. Suffering acute heart failure, he needed a surgery in order to survive.
On July 11th, Jason's heart was removed, and he was put on a Syncardia Total Artificial Heart as a bridge to a heart transplant. Jason has suffered some major complications from this surgery, including severe bleeding and multiple infections. As a result, he has lost his kidney function and will now need a kidney transplant as well. Jason will also lose all but three or four fingers and all of his toes as a result of his medications, and has suffered some hearing loss in his right ear. Sadly, he will bear these handicaps for the rest of his life. For now, however, we are waiting and hoping for the heart and kidney that will save Jason's life.
While Jason and I are optimistic that his transplants will be successful, this experience has taken an enormous financial toll on us as a couple. Jason and I both lost our jobs immediately after this happened and have used our entire savings to keep our bills paid. However, we are no longer able to continue without help.
We need financial help, of course, mainly to pay for Jason's medical bills (I'm not sure anyone could pay out of pocket for the kind of bills Jason is going to have at the end of this road), but also to pay for living expenses during this ordeal.
Some of the things we could use money for include the following:
* Medical bills
* Household bills and utilities
* Home furnishings and upgrades to comply with Jason's post-transplant medical needs
* Hospital and care expenses, such as parking, gas, and snacks
