Get Melissa to Moscow

I am raising money to go voverseas to undergo a procedure known as HSCT (Hematopoietic stem cell transplantation) which will halt and possibly reverse my Multiple Sclerosis. My name is Melissa and I am 35 years old. I was diagnosed in 2011 when my daughter was just one. I had aggressive onset of the disease but was lucky in that I initially responded to treatment. Treatments for MS involve a process of trial and error to to determine which medication is right for you. I have been on four different treatments they all had some success in slowing my disease but they have lost their effectivesness over time. In the past 2 years my diagnosis has changed from Relapsing Remitting MS to Secondary Progressive where patients experience a steady decline without remission. MS is still a disease for which there is no cure and being secondary progressive means that I am coming to the end of my treatment options.
Being diagnosed with MS was life changing, i've had to rethink my daily life and my future. I struggle with dibiltating symptoms every day, sometimes just making it through the day is a great achievement. My wish is that I wake up one morning in the future and feel well enough to play with my daughter, to work, to study, to love and to dream without fear.
HSCT is a procedure that is not available to MS patients in Australia and as a result lots of patients are seeking treatment abroad. It is the only treatment that has been able to halt the progression of MS and possibly reverse it. Your help will give me my life back and I will return the love three times over when I am better. It is my hope to help those who are in need rather than become a burden on those I love. Thank You, your support is most appreciated.
