San Antonio Geek And Nerd Friends,
Hello there, my name is Jonathan H. Kantor and I’m approaching the end of a long and hard 20-year career in the United States Army. Upon my retirement, I have a dream of opening an amazing comic book and game store in the San Antonio area!
Who Am I?
Like many brothers and sisters in Arms, I am a disabled combat veteran with three tours under my belt, two in Iraq and one in Afghanistan.
Serving my beloved country; however, was no walk in the park. I have been diagnosed with PTSD and other ailments BUT if you know anything about super-heroes, you know that they don’t give up without a fight!
Now, I’m no super-hero, but I do have a dream, a passion of making my own store and dedicating it to this amazing culture of comics and video games that have inspired me long before the war and have helped me through my tough times after while giving me the courage to go on.
My Dream
This is not something new for me. Ever since I was a little kid, I used to dream about owning my own store that’s filled with all the things I loved, so I could share them with people who have the same passion for creativity and imagination.
That’s why next to my ribbons & badges I wear the “nerd” and “geek” badge proudly!
My Goal
The purpose of this fund is to raise enough money for an equity injection so that I can get an SBA loan to open a kickass comic book & games store in San Antonio by next summer, when I’ll be retired officially.
This store will be actively involved in the local business community and will be a hub for all sorts of awesome events, and also, this store will be a safe house for every comic book enthusiast and video game fan to come, get entertained and meet amazing new people!
With Your Help
I’ll be able to secure a location, purchase inventory, update furnishing/ purchase fixtures, advertise within the community, hire staff and retain enough capital to operate the shop for at least one year.

One of my great pleasures is to draw people as super-heroes so whoever helps out, this will be a small sort of thank you for your support.

This is not much I know, but I believe that I still have so much to give to this community after having served my country, and with your help, I can leave war behind once and for all while I focus on an amazing new and creative endeavor in San Antonio.
