Hello Brothers and Sisters, my name is Norma Ramirez I am the President of IAM Local Lodge 2198. I am reaching out to each one of you because as some of you have heard one of our fellow sisters ( Maria Torregroza Caban ) is in need of our assistance. While on vacation she became very ill and had to be hospitalized. She has had multiple surgeries and unfortunately due to poor circulation the doctors had to amputate her foot as well as part of her leg. Her husband Ivan said she is still very critical but in good spirits. She is still in ICU in Puerto Rico.
Maria Torregroza Caban is part of our Executive Board for Local Lodge 2198 and Shop Steward for IAH United above the wing. Those of you who know Maria, know her as a very loving person, who is always smiling and willing to help anyone out. Her husband Ivan Caban is part of the Executive Board for IAM local Lodge 811 and also a Shop Steward for IAH United below the wing.
I am asking for us to join together as brothers and sisters and help raise money for any of their expenses during this difficult time, as both are unable to work. Any financial assistance will go a long way.
