This is our Family. Michael, Diana, Silas 15, Levi 6, Max 2 and Quinn 4months.......... The Northingtons! They are strong, resilient and very proud. They rarely ask of anything from others, but are very quick to offer assistance/support to everyone. And during a time when they need the most help, they continue to be strong, resilient and proud. But we know they need and could use all of the help and support they can get! Near and far!
During the August 2016 Louisiana Flooding, the water rose and entered their beautiful Baton Rouge home . This beautiful family of 6 had just purchased their first house and moved into their new home in May. Like many in the flooded areas, they were not in a flood zone and did not have flood insurance. Just as quickly as the water was approaching their home, they raced to get their belongings as high as possible in the hopes that their belongings would be safe. And then they left.
They walked out of their home with only the clothes on their back, babies in tow and in knee-high water, they made their way out of the subdivision to a pick up point. And then they waited. They waited for the water to recede. They waited for safe entry. They waited for the most devastating sights they had ever seen. Their house and belongings ruined.
Today they are rebuilding, and they remain strong, resilient and very proud. But today they also need us more than they will ever ask, more than we will ever know, and more than just one of us can provide. So on behalf of our beautiful family, we are asking that you help us support them. There are so many in need, and we see and understand this first hand. And if all you can do is share this effort, we are equally grateful. Our goal is simple......it is to support them on their journey to recover and rebuild their home. Help us bring them home!

We are also from Baton Rouge, Louisiana, in the flooded areas but our homes were not affected by the flood waters. Any and all monies will be used to rebuild their home, replace furniture, beds, appliances, flooring, clothing, electronics and household items.
