Tragic loss this morning. My daughter and her family the Bessette-Harrison family of 4 lost their house due to fire. They lost everything! With no insurance they are starting over with just the clothes on their backs. Starting a go fund me account to get this wonderful family back on their feet from this devasting loss!

Smoke alarms alert family to early morning fire
PORTLAND, OR (KPTV) -A family is safe after escaping an early morning house fire in Southeast Portland.
Portland Fire & Rescue along with Gresham Fire were called to the home on Southeast 160th Avenue at around 3:30 Sunday morning.
When crews arrived they found the attached garage of the single story home heavily involved in fire.
The fire was also burning in the attic over the living area of the home.
Crews say they found the two adults and two children living inside the home had safely escaped.
The family’s pets were also able to escape the fire.
Crews say they had to deal with the natural gas meter which was releasing gas that was burning.
The family told firefighters that the smoke alarms alerted them to the fire.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
